well I've been taking photos and avoiding Blogger, because I have this post planned about my Dad's house that I just never put up. Anyway. I reinvented my photography site, so it's prettier and has more pictures (like all these filmy ones).
I'm also going to stop calling this a fashion blog because it just isn't. It's about anything and everything I'm interested in.

I really want to work with leather. These pieces are by Zana Bayne who goes to a lot of strange parties. I love when geometry and fashion harmonize. They're just so perfect. There are no words. I need to either buy one of these or make one.

Life is more fun when you look absolutely ridiculous. I've been wanting to post about these boots since I got them ~6 weeks ago and the yearning to reference Harry Potter overruled rationality. On top of that there's nobody around to take pictures so I took a video hoping to get at least one good still, but I didn't actually stop singing through this whole ordeal so there weren't any caps without a bizarre facial expression. Screw it, gifs are way cooler anyways (apart from I can't put it on LB. sob). Back to the boots - I only bought them for the laces they're like bowling shoes cross ice skates cross sneakers and ever so comfy. I have a boot obsession, these are pair #2 of this year (the others were Carvela, sorry bank balance!), please intervene if I buy more.

Diva Zappa

This was actually from the very beginning of this month (the third to be exact) but I've only just remembered about it due to the CSM interview the following day. Diva Zappa, Frank Zappa's daughter, has three middle names, Thin Muffin Pigeen. That basically describes this exhibition- crazy. She hand knits everything from her stream of consciousness without a plan, it can be a poncho or a skirt, a hat or a tea cosy. I was invited to the opening of her show (in a Soho cake shop no less) and was astounded by how much bounce Diva had about her; upstairs she displayed the beginnings of her attempt at 'world's longest scarf', currently at 5 metres but someday it'll be a mile long. That sort of determination is so inspiring. I wouldn't wear any of these, but as pieces of art they're very intriguing. Did I mention that they're going for £2000?
